My Dad bought five season tickets in 1968, I was in the fourth grade. Our family would travel the 120 miles down from Buena Vista to see the games. We've experienced the early year lows of "Hey Diddle Diddle, Little up the Middle" , all the Super Bowl losses, and eventually the Super Bowl victories. Dad died in early 1997, but Mom and I were in San Diego for their first Super Bowl win. What an experience.
After the Josh McDaniels debacle... maybe John and the new coaching staff can get us back to our winning tradition. Tebow is green, but has great character, unproven skills, and is a proven leader and winner. Guess the jury is still out.
I played a lot of sports in my early years, but organized baseball was not available when I was in high school. I loved the game and played tournament slow pitch for years. Since the Rockies came to town, I really began to follow the team and attend many games. I enjoyed the laid back setting of the game ( compared to Bronco Games) and Coors Field is a gorgeous venue.
I'll continue to post news, thoughts and articles I find of interest for other fans. I enjoy all sports and support all our local pro and college teams i.e., the Nuggets and Avs.
